PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize the high quality display of three-dimensional (3-D) graphics in an optional screen size that has higher, resolution than its original size. SOLUTION: A 3-D graphics accelerator 201 undergoes geometry transformation and rendering processing of a 3-D data structure that is written in an offscreen area 152 of VRAM by a CPU 11. The screen size of the 3-D screen data that is undergone rendering is the same as an original size, e.g. 640×480 dots. After the 3-D screen data is converted from YUV to an RGB format by a color space converter 203, it is sent to a scaler 204. The scaler 204 executes interpolation processing, and the screen size of the 3-D screen data is expanded up to the size of a 3-D window that is designated by a user for 3-D graphics display. |
