<p>Video signals V1A-V1n from image pickup means 1A-1n which pick up the images of areas 3A-3n to be monitored are recorded on a video recording and reproducing means 9B for a long time. The video signals recorded on the video recording and reproducing means are reproduced in accordance with the operation of an input means 72 connected to the means 9B through a communication line and displayed on a displaying means 73 of a central monitor 6 through the communication line. In addition, an identification code indicating the occurrence of abnormality is added to the video signal of the image pickup means 1A-1n paired with one of abnormality detecting means 2A-2n which detects abnormality, when the video signal is recorded on the means 9B. When the video signal marked with the identification code is selected through the operation of the input means 72, the video signal is reproduced and transmitted to the central monitor 6 through the communication line. Therefore, the states in the areas 3A-3n can be monitored quickly and accurately from a remote place.</p> |
