Ridge plate for escalators

The ridge plate comprises a support which consists of an extruded section with a step surface and underside formed with an outwards camber when viewed from the longitudinal section. The support on the running end directed towards the escalator has an inclination which drops off towards the steps of the escalator by an angle of 8-10 degrees, plus or minus 0.25 degrees. The support is constructed as a hollow chamber section with the chambers in the centre region having a greater volume than those at the edges.
