Thermal insulation system for pressure vessels of solar receivers

The insulation consists of at least one layer on the inner surface of an outer jacket of the vessel (13), which is charged by a gas flow. The insulation system (10) has pressure elements (42) for pressure compensation between the insulation material and an inner vessel chamber (20). The elements are arranged, so that they charge the complete surface of the insulation material with a pressure-compensating gas flow. The compensating gas flow is a part of the gas flow (32), which charges the pressure vessel. The insulation system has a support structure to hold it in the pressure vessel.
