PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make any contact between a rotor's end face and a rotor chamber preventable from occurring. SOLUTION: This is a Roots type fluid machine that is equipped with two rotors 15 and 17 engaging with each other through toothtraces 57 and 59 formed in parallel with a turning center shaft, a rotor chamber 33 housing these rotors 15 and 17 free of rotation, and a casing 13 with both inflow and outflow parts of a fluid, and in this constitution, an incline 67 making an angleϕwith an opposed surface 65 of the rotor chamber 33, is formed in at least a tip side of the end of the rotor 15, whereby a clearance 69 is installed in a gap with this opposed surface 65.
