New stable pharmaceutical formulations of microgranules containing omeprazole

The present invention deals with new stable pharmaceutical formulations containing omeprazole. The formulations contain omeprazole in a quantity comprised between 1 mg and 50 mg and consist of an inert core consisting of starch and sugar, coated with a layer containing omeprazole, the latter being in turn coated with an insulating layer which, finally, is coated with a gastro-resistant layer. The pharmaceutical product is free of organic solvents and/or impurities generally associated with them, because the application of the various layers makes use of aqueous solvents alone. The resulting product is stable for a period of time consistent with pharmaceutical requirements and presents gastro-resistance and dissolving characteristics adequate for the shelf life generally established for the product, three years.
