<p>A system for creating books of starter checks at low cost includes an apparatus for creating checks and covers for the checks; a metal clip having a U-shaped configuration with a smooth inner surface; and hand operated locking pliers that have an extended jaw portion that substantially spans the longest dimension of he metal U-shaped clip. The metal clip is crimped around an end of a set of checks and covers with the locking pliers to form a checkbook.</p> |
