Telecommunications terminal for communication between two high altitude sources

The telecommunications terminal operates in duplex mode by transmission of optical beams through space. It comprises an optical part (8) having two telescopes linked together (18,32). One of them is connected to a transmission channel by a directional beam, to a working channel by a received telecommunication optical beam. The other telescope is associated with the reception of a directional beam, and with a transmission channel for several telecommunications channels operating on a common transmission beam. The second telescope has an input diameter which is greater than that of the first telescope. The directional beam of the transmission channel comprises at least two beacons (60) associated in the first telescope by a dichroic element (20) reflecting one wavelength which is common to the operation of the beacons, and reflecting the received telecommunications optical beam.
