<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gesture interface device which makes interface natural and facilitates the operation of a virtual space in walking around in the virtual space. SOLUTION: A television camera 1 picks up the image of a user 6, and an image processor 2 detects the position of the user 6, based on the image pickup output, and also recognizes the gestures of the user 6. A graphic generator 3 moves the image pickup position of the camera 1 in accordance with the position of a detected user's image, carries out a command that corresponds to a recognized gesture, e.g. selects an object and displays it on a screen 4.</p> |
