PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a floating-type slider from being attracted on contact start/stop by forming a magnetic film for recording information on a substrate group part with a group and a land, constituting a polished land part so that it is higher than a magnetic film part, and reproducing and recording information with a magnetic head being in contact with the land part. SOLUTION: An ion etching is performed on the surface of a soda alumino silicic acid glass substrate 1 whose surface is polished to a roughness of 10Åwith a CF4 gas by a photoresist and a group 16 that is spiral-shaped or concentric and is approximately 800Ådeep is formed, thus forming a land 4 between groups 16. A magnetic film 2 consisting of the multilayer film of a magnetic body such as Pt/Co is deposited on an entire surface with a thickness of 600-700Åand the magnetic film 2 on the land 4 is removed. Then, a lubrication layer 3 with a thickness of 20-100Åsuch as carbon is formed by sputtering or deposition.
