A configuration of an articulation (1) interconnecting a pair of contiguous panels of a mobile sectional door. The pair of panels include mutually facing widthwise extending edge cavities (4, 5) having front and rear appendices (2225) delimiting the cavities and substantially blocking access to the cavities when the panels are connected by the articulation. The articulation includes a male element (2) connected inside one of the cavities and a female element (3) connected inside the other of the cavities. The male element is movable accommodated inside the female element for providing a relative pivoting movement between the panels about an axis extending substantially parallel to the widthwise extension of the edge cavities.
