Switch with operating organ in vicinity of vehicle steering column

The switch (3) has an operating organ (25), which is located at a holding system, with a connecting element (21) detachably fixed to the steering column. Depending on it's position selectable by hand, the switch reacts across the cam operating facility (23) connected with the connecting element on a switching element (40,41,43) to produce a signal transmission. The switching element is supported by a carrying plate (12), which independent of the connecting element is held by the holding system. The switching element is operated mechanically, photoelectrically, inductively, capacitively or magnetically.
