The manipulator for the height of hedges comprises a wheeled chassis (1) on which is erected the base of an articulated pantograph (15). The pantograph extends upwards and supports standard portable cutting equipment (28). Two opposite levers (13,14) are connected to two independent activating mechanisms (19,23) which adjust the height and inclination of the pantograph. The chassis is formed by two parallel beams (2) supported by two central wheels (5), carried by the same transverse axle, and two end wheels (7) located along the same median longitudinal axis. The central wheels are mounted on the axle by an eccentric (4) and have a larger diameter than the end wheels. The pantograph enables adjustment of height and inclination in the vertical plane and enables perfectly plane cuts to be obtained.
