PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture the title optical module receptacle in the structure capable of avoiding the slippage in optical axis due to thermal deformation by providing cavity between an element fitting part and a resin made contour part provided in a metallic holder. SOLUTION: An identification timing circuit type ceramic substrate 17 and a receptacle unit are coupled with each other on a part of resin made case 2 while a light detecting unit and the receptacle unit are coupled with each other on a part of a metallic holder 5. At this time, a sleeve 3, a fiber stub 4, the metallic lens holder 5 and a lens 6 are circularly structured so as to minimize the deformation of the concentricity due to thermal expansion. Accordingly, even if the resin part is thermally expanded by the heat of the identification timing circuit type substrate 17 conducted to the receptacle unit, the metallic lens holder 5 will not be deformed so that the heat may not be conducted to the photodetecting circuit type ceramic substrate 8 thereby enabling the slippage in optical axis to be avoided.
