<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain excellent developing characteristics, without melt-sticking a developer to a layer regulating member by using specific inorganic fine grains compositely for a nonmagnetic one-component developer and the layer regulating member having specific hardness. SOLUTION: On a photoreceptor drum 1, an electrostatic latent image is formed by a well-known electrophotographic method. The nonmagnetic one- component developer 3 is housed in a hopper 2 and carried on the sleeve of a developing roller 5, to obtain a fixed layer thickness by the layer regulating member 4 and then, an electric charge is imparted to the developer 3 by rubbing against the layer regulating member 4 and the developer 3 is carried. In such a case, the layer regulating member 4 is made of metal and has a Brinell hardness of 100-160 and in the nonmagnetic one-component developer 3, an inorganic fine grain (A) whose specific surface area is >=80m<2> /g and an inorganic fine grain (B) whose specific surface area is <80m<2> /g are compositely stuck to the surface of nonmagnetic toner.</p> |
