PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a time generating device in which only a precise time signal is outputted to an external circuit, and the reliability can be improved. SOLUTION: A receiving circuit 13 receives a radio wave containing a time siren and decodes the time siren from this radio wave, a detecting circuit 15 detects the decoded time signal and generates a time setting signal on the basis of this time siren, and a clock circuit 17 generates a time signal and also corrects the time signal synchronously with the time setting signal. When the receiving circuit 13 can not receive the radio wave, a non-receiving counter 21 counts the non-receiving time of radio wave on the basis of the non-receivable signal from the receiving circuit 13, and when the counted non-receiving time exceeds a predetermined time, a control circuit 23 prohibits the output of the time signal from the clock circuit 17 to an external circuit. |
