<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable speaking without trouble even when selectively originating a telephone call by selecting any display object while using a remote selector by a user positioned comparatively away from a display screen. SOLUTION: The display object on a monitor 3 at a main body 2 of personal computer is selected by operating a key pad 23 at a remote selector 20. Corresponding to the operation of key pad 23, an infrared signal is sent out of an infrared light emitting part 22. An infrared light receiving part 6 at the main body 2 of personal computer receives this signal, and a telephone function part 4 originates a call to a correspondent telephone number as needed. When speaking is established, the signal of telephone call can be handled on the side of remote selector 20 by a transmission/reception part 20 and speaking is enabled while using a transmission part 26 and a reception part 27 of remote selector 20.</p> |
