PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain cursor movement matching a display screen by converting the row and column positions of a cursor at a movement destination in document data into a row and a column position in a storage means for editing and informing an editing means of them when the movement of the cursor displayed on a display means in a row direction is instructed. SOLUTION: A RAM 2 as the storage means for editing is stored with document data referred to by a CPU 1 and document data displayed on a display device 10. When the number of editing columns of one line of the document data stored in the RAM 2 exceeds a display column number, the display data are displayed on the display device 10 while extended to a next line. The document data are edited and when the movement of the cursor displayed on the display device 10 in the row direction is instructed, the CPU 1 converts the row and column positions of the cursor at the movement destination in the document data displayed on the display device 10 into a row and a column position in the RAM 2 and informs the editing means of them. |
