[Also in Division C3] Fibres are formed by melt-spinning a homogenous mixture of a copolyamide and 0À03- 3% wt. of a metal salt of an aliphatic mono- or di-carboxylic acid having at least 3 C atoms. A homopolyamide may be spun simultaneously. through the same spinning nozzle. The copolyamide may be formed from at least two compounds selected from lactams, #-amino carboxylic acids, and salts of diamines and dicarboxylic acids. The metal of the salt may be Li, Be, Na, Mg, Al, K, Ca, Mn, Ni, Cu, Zn, Ag, Ba, Hg, Tl, or Pb. The carboxylic acid may be saturated or unsaturated. The salt may have particles of size <50Á.
