A lining material for footwear comprises up to 40 % by weight binder fibre e.g. polypropylene and the remainder substantially bulk fibre e.g. polyester. The binder fibre has a melting temperature up to 200 DEG C and at least 70 DEG C lower than the bulk fibre. The material is heat shrunk in its manufacture to consolidate the material by fusion incorporation of the binder fibre with bulk fibre, suitably by exposure to hot air. |
