PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for going up and down stairs which does not require equipping the stairs with any particular facility, involves no risk of damaging the stairs, and allows a person to go up and down the stairs stably with the aid of a simple mechanism configured on the sliding system. SOLUTION: A device for going up and down stairs is composed of a body 1 having control part 11, running wheels 2 for making parallel displacement on a running path, an upper leg 3 to move the body 1 in the horizontal direction, a lower leg 4 moving in the vertical direction relative to the upper leg 3, and a slider 5 to slide in the horizontal direction from the under-part of the upper leg 3. The control part 11 controls the horizontal moving operation of the upper leg 3 and slider 5 and the vertical moving operation of the lower leg 4, and one can go up and down the stairs stably through repetition of combined movements in the horizontal direction and vertical direction. |
