PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To circulate a developer smoothly, to uniformize the developer in the developing carrier longitudinal direction in a control area, and to enable excellent and stable development, in a developing device provided with magnetic field generating means arranged at least either inside of the developer carrier or the developer control member severally rotated in the reverse direction at the section opposite to each other, forming the control area by the magnetic field in cooperation with the developer carrier and the developer control member, controlling the developer containing magnetic materials carried on the developer carrier, and imparting the transporting force to the developer in the respective rotating direction from both of the developer carrier and the developer control member. SOLUTION: In this developing device, a magnetic pole N1 of the magnet inside a developing sleeve located in the vicinity of a part opposing the developing sleeve 21 and a controlling sleeve 22 incorporating respective magnet, is made to a sloped arrangement being twisted at either end part in the peripheral direction, the magnetic field distribution on the control area is shifted in the developing sleeve lengthwise direction, the transporting force in the rotary direction is made different in the developing sleeve longitudinal direction, and the transporting force in the lengthwise direction is imparted to the developer by the difference of the transporting force thereof. |
