PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make the processing after the selection of the writings and pictures mode efficient by automatically starting an application used to process a writings and pictures image file when a 2nd operation mode for picking up non writings and pictures is switched into a 1st operation mode for picking up writings and pictures. SOLUTION: When the user makes a request of selecting the writings and pictures reception mode to a controller 240, the controller 240 requests the selection of the writings and pictures to a camera 100. The camera 100 selects a drive method corresponding to the writings and pictures mode to select the writings and pictures mode from the non writings and pictures mode, and the camera 100 informs the mode changeover to a control signal channel 500. This notice is given to a camera application 252 via the controller 240 and the camera application 252 loads an OCR software 25 used to process the writings and pictures to a RAM 220 and starts the program. |
