The attachment, for use by a person engaged in hazardous activity and moving along a horizontal rail or cable over a drop, consists of a plate (10) with a main hole for fastening to the user's harness by a snap hook, and four other holes, three of which (26, 28, 30) are used for threading a two-ended line (6, 8) with end fastenings for attaching to the line or rail. The fourth hole in the plate is designed to hold the loop of a static line (20) with an additional end fastening for use when traversing a connecting point in the horizontal rail or cable. The three holes for the two-ended line are set in a triangular configuration, with the fourth set between the two outlet holes (26, 28).
