摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable excellent joining without causing defects even under a situation in which frictional heat is likely to be dispersed, and also to improve joining speed. SOLUTION: Joining members 1, 2 are joined by inserting a revolving probe 12 in or near their joining part 3 and by relatively moving the probe 12 in the inserted state along the joining part 3 while the part in contact with the probe is softened by frictional heat and stirred. In this case, the probe 12 is moved while the forward part of the joining part 3 in the moving direction of the probe is heated by an external heat source 21. The external heat source may be a laser beam, gas flame, heater, etc.
