PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the liquid crystal display device which can control the timing of variation of a scanning voltage with excellent precision and control the timing in response to a frame frequency. SOLUTION: A 2nd counter 5 counts a timing clock signal CLK and a 2nd count value is latched in a data flip-flop 6. A 1st counter 12 counts a 1st count value in synchronism with the timing clock CLK. A 1st comparator 11 compares the 1st count value with a numerical value representing a 1st periodΔt1 from a 1st width number conversion decoder 10 and outputs a signal F when the former reaches the latter. A 2nd comparator 9 compares the 1st count value with a numerical value representing a 2nd periodΔt2' from a 2nd width number conversion decoder 8 and outputs a signal G when the former reaches the latter. The output of an SR flip-flop 13 goes up to H level when the signal F falls and goes down to L level when the signal G falls, so that an enable signal Doff is outputted.
