PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fault test method of an optical disk capable of precisely, rapidly testing a fault in a short time. SOLUTION: In the fault test method of the optical disk consisting of lands 3 and grooves 4 alternately formed over the disk radial direction, and provided with a recording field capable of optically recording/reproducing information and a header provided on a position existing between respective recording fields and striding across between adjacent land and groove, it is constituted so that a testing signal is recorded on either one between the land 3 and groove 4, and the header H and the recording field F of a track recording the testing signal are reproduced, and the fault of the optical disk is tested. Thus, the fault of the optical disk is tested precisely in a short time. |
