PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect a parity error with a small scale even if all block signals are cut in a digital transmission device adopting add/even alternate parities. SOLUTION: An add/even parity generation part 11 receiving n-pieces of digital input signals, a one to (m) conversion part 12, an n×m bit processing part 13, (m) to '1' conversion part 14 and a parity detection part are contained. The parity detection part 15 detects the parity error with parity based on the parity output of the parity generation part 11 and the output of the (m) to '1' conversion part 14 as prescribed timing.
