<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To extend a maximum repetitive pattern length regardless of a limited memory capacity. SOLUTION: Areas of a traffic memory 22 are divided into a plurality of pattern information areas 22b1 -22bM and a sequence information area 22a, and cell memory addresses of cell data stored in a cell memory 21 are stored in advance in a plurality of the pattern information areas 22b1 -22bM in the order of output and a plurality of traffic memory addresses to designate a plurality of pattern information areas are stored in advance in the sequence information area 22a. Then a control section 25 reads a plurality of the traffic memory addresses stored in the sequence information areas 22a of the traffic memory 22 in a prescribed sequence and reads sequentially the cell memory addresses stored in the pattern information areas designated by each read traffic memory address and cell data designated by each read cell memory address are sequentially outputted from the cell memory 21.</p> |
