PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrifying roll having a resistance controlling layer made of an epichlorohydrin rubber without using a lead compd. as an acid accepting agent. SOLUTION: This electrifying roll is produced by forming a conductive rubber layer 12 having low hardness around an axial body 10, and successively forming an electrode layer 14, a resistance controlling layer 16 and a protective layer 18 around the conductive rubber layer 12. The resistance controlling layer 16 is formed by using an epichlorohydrin rubber with which a hydrotalcite is compounded as an acid accepting agent. |
