Hydrostatic drive system

A hydrostatic drive system delivers power to a unit linked to a pump in an open circuit. The power-consuming unit can be operated on each side of the hydrostatic drive system. The unit inlet is linked by a hose to the pump by a valve, the return hose (2) discharging to a vessel via a valve. The return hose (2) has a by-pass valve (18a) integrated in a pressurising valve (5a). In a preferred version the pressurising valve (5a) body (5) has a longitudonal drill hole (9) which creates a link between the discharge vessel and the power-consuming unit when the pressurising valve (5a) is closed.
