<p>The selective production of α-alkylcinnamaldehydes such as Jasminaldehyde is carried out through a process which involves two consecutive reaction : the acetalization of n-alkylaldehyde by direct reaction with an alcohol or by transacetalization followed by the reaction between said acetal and the aromatic aldehyde such as benzaldehyde by using as catalysts molecular sieve acids with a regular distribution of pores in the micro range and mesopores, comprised between 6 and 100 Å.</p> |
