APPARATUS FOR MAKING A WIRE HARNESS

A pair of wires (2, 3) are fed a set distance into a machine that has a pair of clamping plates (12A, 12B) to bring them together. A common connector (30, 31) is crimped onto the ends of the wires. While clamped the wires are separated at one end to form a Y shape by insertion of a bar (18) with a tapered end. The clamps are released and the bar withdrawn. Extraction or unloading is provided by a pair of belts (20) that move the finished cable connector to an unloading point. -
