A toilet unit (1) comprising a toilet bowl (11) and a water reservoir (12). The water reservoir (12) is provided with a water supply opening and a water pipe connected to the toilet bowl. The toilet bowl (11) is mounted on a first side of a pivotable wall (4), whilst the water reservoir (12) is mounted on a second side facing away from the toilet bowl (11). Pivoting of the wall (4) will thus make the water reservoir and the faeces grinder (14) that may also be mounted on the second side of the wall readily accessible for maintenance.
