A ceramic electrode material that can be made into a sintered electrode (3) is made from the admixture of doped lanthanum manganite and an additive containing cerium, where a solid electrolyte (4), can substantially surround the air electrode, and a porous outer fuel electrode (7) can substantially surround the electrolyte, to form a fuel cell (1).
