PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a works timepiece capable of reducing the occupied space of a brightness detection means and fixing without additionally decorating the dial plate. SOLUTION: In this timepiece the cover 5b of a cap 5 pushed and operated during functioning of monitor of a control unit 3 is formed with a transparent material transmitting visible light. In a medium body 7 moving during switching operation, a CdS cell 6 detecting brightness of the environment is contained and in the control unit 3, the monitor switch and the CdS cell 6 are combined in one. By this, the occupying space for fixing and the parts number of the CdS cell 6 are reduced, and a fixing work becomes easy. Since it becomes unnecessary to additionally decorate the dial plate not fixed by the CdS cell 6, the reduction of production cost becomes possible. |
