An article carrier of the basket type adapted to accomodate a plurality of articles, for example, bottles, having a base (110, 150), opposed side (14, 18) and end walls (16, 20), an internal partition structure (32, 34, 66, 68), handle means (30, 98, 64, 102) and article support and separating means (14, 132) wherein said article support and separating means is struck partially from respective ones of side walls (14, 18) and bottom panels (110, 150), and comprises an aperture adapted to receive a portion of an article contained within the carrier and a flap (114, 132) struck from and hingeably connected to an edge of said aperture wherein said flap (114, 132) projects inwardly of the carrier in an operative position to separate one article from an immediately adjacent article located adjacent one and the same side wall. |
