PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical module which produces a substrate in good yield and is easily assembled when light guided wave component such as an optical fiber is optically connected with semiconductive optical element. SOLUTION: An optical module 1 consists of a substrate 2 which has a mounting surface 2b on which wiring pattern of electric signal is formed and one or more semiconductive optical element 4 is mounted, and packages 7, 8 arranging the substrate. The substrate 2 includes at least one first positioning part 2c, and package 7 is made of synthetic resin, and has an arranging part where one or more light wave guided component is arranged oppositely facing a semiconductive optical element and has a second positioning part 7g which is engaged with the first positioning part, and positioning the semiconductive element and the arranging part. |
