A process for the dismutation and/or transalkylation of alkylaromatic hydrocarbons in a reaction zone comprising two catalytic beds , each containing a different catalyst one a mordenite and the other a mazzite zeolite. Each is in the acid form and each contains a matrix and, possibly, a group 1B or VIII element.
