The air cooled motor has an exhaust pipe (15) which directs the air flow leaving the motor into the falling path of a conveyor belt (14) delivering a crushed rubble mixture (13) of light (11) and heavy (12) components. The head of the exhaust pipe (16) is the same width as the conveyor belt and is tapered towards a blowing nozzle (17). The light components (11) of the mixture curtain (20) are drawn off and blown beyond the partition wall (25) where they fall onto a conveyor belt (27). The heavy components (12) are unaffected by the blowing action and fall vertically onto a separate conveyor belt (26).
