PROCESS OF APPLYING POWDER COATINGS ON METALLIC SURFACES

Metal surfaces, which are treated with an oil film, are applied a polymer powder on. The polymer powder is electro-statically applied on the oil film providing that the polymer powder is inert to the oil. The layer is then heat-melted at temperature lower than the oil's decomposition point. During the interval, which is sufficient for the oil to diffuse through the powder layer and for evaporation thereof, the melted matter is cooled and hardened
