GUTTER FOR INK JET RECORDER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely collect ink which is unnecessary for printing by using a gutter for ink jet of which length in the flying direction of ink drops is shorter than the other. SOLUTION: In a continuous ink jet recorder, a cross section of a bent section 11 in an ink passage of a gutter is greater than that of an inlet section 9 or an exit section 14 of the gutter, there is an inner wall 12 at the inner side of the bent section between the gutter inlet section 9 and the position 11 with which ink drops are collided in the flying direction of ink drops and a part 13 placed from the bent section 12 to ink exit section 14 is tapered. The angle of the bent section is greater than 90.degree. and is made of a conductive material. A plane section 1b that allows a gutter 1a to be fixed to a plane section of a print head and a charged quantity detecting terminal 7 for ink drops 4 flowing into the gutter 1a to be fixed thereto.
