PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a side projecting type air bag device for a vehicle including an air bag having an air bag main body formed to be easily made flexible in a developing direction and its air bag. SOLUTION: An air bag main body 60a has a through-hole part 64 roughly in its center part. By stacking the opening part 62c of an upper wall 62 and the opening part 63a of a lower wall 63, this through-hole part 64 is formed by being sewn along each outer peripheral edge of both opening parts 62c and 63a. Thus, the section shape of a cylindrical part 65 formed in each of both sides of the through-hole part 64 of the air bag main body 60a is smaller compared with the other part of the air bag main body 601 and thus the air bag main body 60a is formed to be easily made flexible in a developing direction in each cylindrical part 65.
