The machine, designed for joining together and bundling rectangular- section strips of wood, metal or synthetic material e.g. used in construction, consists of a magazine for feeding the strips and a conveyor to deliver the strips to a fixing point (10"). At the fixing point the strips are connected by bands of a thin material fed from a number of reels, joined to the strips by stapling, welding, nailing or sticking. The connecting bands can be of elastomer film material or metal wire, and they are fixed to the strips to ensure a given spacing between them. The different stages in the process are computer-controlled.
