<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coordinate input device capable of outputting switch information without providing an input pen with a switch. SOLUTION: An input coordinate value is detected by an input pen (S12), and when a difference between the input coordinate value and a coordinate value obtained just before the current value is more than a threshold, the counting of a timer is started (S14) and stationary time on the input position of the input pen is counted. When the stationary time exceeds TT1, switch information is turned on (S17), and when the stationary time exceeds TT2, the switch information is turned on again (S18). A menu command or an icon is selected by the initial switch information and the selected command or icon is executed by the 2nd switch information. Since the switch information is outputted by the constitution without providing the input pen with a switch, the coordinate input device having extremely fine operability is attained without changing an application system for a current mouse.</p> |
