A dial calendar is disclosed. The calendar has a drive unit with a rotating shaft. A primary dial is mounted to the drive unit. The dial has a month system, expressing the months of the year, and a date system expressing the days of the month. Two hands are commonly fitted over the rotating shaft of the drive unit so as to indicate a month of the month system and a date of the date system, respectively. The dial calendar also has a second dial with a day system expressing the days of the week. A week system is formed on the primary dial at a position outside the month system, thus allowing a user to know what number week of the year it is. The calendar also has a quarter system at a position inside the month system, and a timepiece showing the progress of time. The timepiece may be a digital timepiece, including digital panels for the date, the days of the week and time. |
