PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To quantitatively compare particle size distribution data with each other. SOLUTION: The particle size distribution data of a sample particle group to be evaluated are measured (step S1). The particle size distribution data of the sample particle group and the particle size distribution data of a normal particle group obtained in advance by measurement are treated as vectors and, for example, the cosine of the crossing angle (cosθ) of both of the vectors is calculated as the crossing angle index of the vectors (step S2). The quality of the sample particle group is discriminated by comparing the crossing angle index with a predetermined prescribed value (steps S3, S4, and S5).
