PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To release protection to a pin contact at the time of engagement, and protect the pin contact after removal without requiring any special operation. SOLUTION: A connector is provided with an outer insulator 10, an inner insulator 30 to be contained in the outer insulator 10, a base insulator 50 on which pin contacts 51 are provided to stand, and a socket 70 to be contained in the inner insulator 30. In this case, a plate 46 having holes 47 for the plural pin contacts 51 to be inserted is supported at a middle part of the inner insulator 30, a pair of L-shaped inner insulator guides 44 are formed at a lower part of the inner insulator 30, an L-shaped recessed part 62 to be engaged with the inner insulator guides 44 and base guides 54, 55 movable in rectangular holes 21, 24 are formed on a standing member 52 of the base insulator 50, and socket contacts 71 in which the pin connectors 51 can be inserted are installed in a socket 70.
