<p>The invention concerns a flexible uncoupling joint mounted in the exhaust line (L) of a motor vehicle (V) engine, said flexible joint (5) comprising at least a cylindrical metal frame (10), flexible and elastically ductile in any direction, for supporting an assembly (E) of tiered up layers. The invention is characterised in that the assembly of layers (E) comprises at least one layer (12) made up of fabrics with mineral and/or metal fibre base, a sealing layer (14) of fine thickness made up of a mineral or polymeric metal strip, a thermally insulating layer (16) sufficiently thick for reducing the external temperature of the flexible joint, and an external protective layer (18), and said metal frame (10) fixes said layers (12, 14, 16) in position.</p> |
