<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent fluctuation in the density of an image formed on a recording medium due to lowering of brightness of a semiconductor light emitting element by setting a timing for starting exposure based on an exposure interval required for single main scanning exposure depending on an image data and then repeating the main scanning exposure. SOLUTION: A controller 202 is provided with a field memory 244 for storing an image data of 10 scanning lines being exposed by single main scanning. At the time of image exposure, a corrected image data stored in a frame memory 240 is read out by an amount corresponding to single main scanning at a time and stored in the field memory 244. After delivering the stored image data at a specified timing to a light source section 204, the field memory 244 reads out a new image data for single main scanning from the frame memory 240 and stores the new image data. A controller 202 repeats main scanning exposure at a set exposure interval.</p> |
